Chris and I were married in December of 2004. We welcomed our first baby, Noah, in February of 2009. Then welcomed our second son, Hudson, in 2011. We are so blessed to have those boys in our lives! We hope you enjoy the updates of our family happenings!

I can't believe it, the Gamecocks won the National Championship in baseball!
I think the best part is that the Gamecocks were playing for a little 7 year old boy named Bayler. Bayler was a HUGE Carolina fan who last his battle to cancer on Thursday. USC decided to play the rest of the way in Bayler's honor and they paid for his family to fly to Omaha and watch the last games. You can read about his story here.
This is only the 2nd time he's ever had one. I'm thinking it may be due to some teeth coming in, maybe? So today we stayed home in our pjs. He was so sad.
Thank goodness for Yo Gabba Gabba, that was one of the only things that made him happy.
I did enjoy today because I got lots of sweet cuddle time with my boy! He seems to be feeling better this afternoon, I sure hope so!
We have to cheer on our Gamecocks tonight!
Here is a cute picture of Noah and Chris watching the game last night.
We had a good weekend. We got back from the beach on Friday so Friday night we hung out at home and unpacked and ordered a pizza. It was so good!
On Saturday, Chris played golf and Noah and I ran errands. We met Chris for dinner and came home.
On Sunday, we went to the late church service because they offered a special blessing for our friends Adam and Lauren. They were set to get married in July but Adam was sent to Bahrain for a year so they ended up getting married last weekend in Ohio. What a way to start a marriage, but they are so strong. Thank goodness for Skype and technology.
Then we got a treat by going to visit the Musa Family! We got to meet Baby A and visit with Gabriel. I had forgotten how sweet and tiny newborn babies are! The Musa's are moving this week and we'll miss them so much, we'll have to plan a trip to visit them in their new home.
Here is one picture that I borrowed from Sarah's blog (Picture by Sarah Rogers: Sully and Me Photography).
PS-Look at more of the cute pictures that Sarah took of the Musa's here: Sully and Me Photograhpy.
Sarah also took pictures of the birth of Baby A and they were so good, you can see them if you scroll down on Sarah's blog.
We finished our weekend with dinner with Chris' family. This summer is going by way too fast!
We went to Myrtle Beach this week with my family and we had a great time! This trip is so special to me because I have such wonderful memories being there with my family for many years. We always went because my dad had a principal's convention. This year was very different without him there. I think we did pretty good staying positive and Noah kept us laughing for sure! But, there were many moments that were hard and my mom and I both said that we kept waiting on him to show up. I guess it's all part of the healing...
In happier news, Noah is finally walking! Andrew and Jenna worked with him all week (they are both in PT school) and he finally got the confidence to do it. It is so cute! Here is a video of his first few steps
(it was taken on Chris' phone).
We got to the beach Saturday night and did our favorite activity...people watching! There are some amazing people to watch in MB! We always go eat at Johnny Rockets and sit outside just to watch all the people. Then we shopped around a bit and headed back.
Here is Noah and Chris watching the people.
And this was one of our favorite outfits of the night!
And one of Andrew and Jenna...
Sunday was Father's Day so we let Chris choose all the activities! We went shopping and there was more people watching at the mall.
Noah and Chris got to play some golf too.
Then we went to Wild Wings for dinner. Monday was my mom's birthday so we went to the Outlet Mall and then to Chesnut Hill for dinner and it was so yummy! After dinner we went to the beach to play while it was cool outside and then came back for cupcakes and presents.
Noah loved the sand and the beach! Tuesday we went to the beach early and then we had a girls day in. My mom, Jenna and I (and Noah too) stayed in our pjs and watched reality tv with pizza while the guys played golf. We enjoyed our usual favorites:
The Real Housewives
and the Kardashians
But we found a new great show called "You're Cut Off".
It is so entertaining! You may want to check it out!
Wednesday, the boys watched soccer all morning and then we went to the mall, the beach and then Andrew cooked us spaghetti for dinner.
And, Noah rocked his Hawaiian shirt that Uncle Andrew got him.
Thursday, we hit the outlets and the mall one last time and then went to California Dreaming for dinner. We had a great trip and were all sad to come home. What a fun time!
Noah loves you so much and is beyond blessed to have you as his father. His face lights up every afternoon when you come home. He has so much fun with you! Watching you as a dad has been a great joy in my life.
This Father's Day may be a little tough for me since it will be the first one without my dad, but I know that I am forever blessed by having him as a father. He taught me so much about love and life and he lives on forever in my heart.
And last but certainly not least I would like to wish my father-in-law a Happy Father's Day too! He is a great person who is such a blessing in our lives. He helps us out so much, is so handy and makes some delicious steaks! And...Noah loves him so much!
Just for fun, look at these pictures from 1 year ago today on Chris' 1st Father's Day. We were at the beach. Look how little Noah was! It's crazy how much changes in a year!
I just finished the book "I Will Carry You" by Angie Smith.
It was by far one of the best books I've ever read. It was one of those books that I couldn't put down but didn't want it to end. It's the type of book that I know I will refer back to many times. If you have ever had a loss in your life or been through a hard time or if you know someone who has you will enjoy this book. If you've ever doubted God's presence or if you want to see another example of God's love, this is the book for you. Angie was 18 weeks pregnant when she found out that her daughter Audrey was not expected to live more than a few minutes after birth. Angie and her family were full of faith and put their full trust in God. He carried them through and let Audrey's short life help change the world. This book is an amazing story of hope and helps us understand how to deal with life's losses and disappointments. Angie's husband is a member of the band "Selah" and they wrote a song in honor of Audrey and it is beautiful. Here is the video below:
I finally caught up last night on this weeks episode. Chris and I were laughing the entire episode! These guys are something else! Kasey is very interesting. I really think he has a voice disorder but maybe it's just the speech therapist in me coming out. :) I don't think I really have a favorite so far. I guess we'll see how things turn out.
