Lipstick

Oh my child...he is something else! 

On Sunday night I was trying to clean up my room and let him play in there while I was cleaning.  He loves to play  with my jewelry and my old makeup.  He went into my closet so I couldn't see him for a few minutes.  But when I went to check on him a minute later, here is what I found...

He had a great time "painting" his outfit with lipstick.  It got everywhere!  And all he could do was laugh and laugh!  Of course he was wearing a really nice outfit too.  He definitely keeps us laughing!

Papa turns 90!

We had a great weekend.  On Friday night we ordered Chinese and ate with my mom and then went swimming.  On Saturday we hung around the house, Chris did yard work and I got my hair cut (Thanks Ellen!).  Saturday night we had a special event.  Chris' grandpa turned 90 so his parents hosted a party to celebrate.  It was a great family gathering.  I posted a lot of pictures below from the event.  On Sunday we went to Columbia to celebrate Andrew's birthday.  We went to lunch and shopped.  It's hard to believe the weekend is over!

Today is my brother Andrew's birthday!   He is such a great brother...he's always there to talk to when I need him, he gives good advice, he's super smart and he's so much fun.  I don't think I could ask for a better brother.  He and Chris are great friends and he loves Noah so much!  We are so lucky that he's part of our family!

Aquarium Trip

On Sunday, we wanted to do something fun so we decided to head to the Aquarium. It was a great day! We stared off at lunch near the water and it was delicious! Then, we went to the aquarium. It was great because all 6 of us got in for free! My mom, Chris and I all got in free because we work in a school and Andrew and Jenna used Greenbax stamps. My dad would have been so proud that we got a deal!

Rap

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy Birthday Daddy!  You would be 60 years old today.  

I remember how much fun we had on your birthday last year.

I hope that you are having a big celebration up in Heaven.  Today many of us are thinking of you with a smile.  We love and miss you so much!  We know you wouldn't want us to be sad today, so today we will celebrate you.  We will remember all the wonderful memories we shared with you and how blessed we were to have you in our lives!  I firmly believe that those of us that knew him are all better people for having crossed his path.

I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them;

I will turn the darkness into light before them and the rough places smooth.

Garden

In today's paper there is a very nice article written about the garden in memory of my dad.  The memories that the children shared in the article really touched me.  I  haven't been to the garden since the dedication so it looks like we need to go and visit it again.
